Tiger Photography Tours , India : Kanha and Pench National Parks
India (Nagpur) is where I grew up. Kanha and Pench national parks are my backyard. This region is called Tiger capital of the of world for a reason. I regularly lead a private group of photographers to India to photograph wild Tigers and India's wide variety of native wildlife.India (Nagpur) is where I grew up. Tiger reserves of Tadoba, Kanha and Pench national parks are like my backyard. The safari will also include two different national parks, thus increasing our likelihood of great photographic opportunities.
Tigers are highly endangered and India's National Parks provide some of the last remaining places where one can observe these beautiful cats in their natural habitat, often at very close range. 65% of the world's remaining wild Tigers are found in India and these safaris offers superb opportunities to see and photograph these big cats. India also teems with a wide array of antelope and deer and boasts fifteen species of primates. In all India has over 400 species of mammals and so this trip will focus not only on seeing and photographing Tigers, but also on India's unique and varied wild fauna. The birdlife in India is also abundant.
We will spend four nights each at two of India's best Tiger-viewing National Parks - Kanha National Park and Pench National Park (Both feature in National Geographic and BBC documentaries). Both of these National Parks have high densities of tigers, Leopards and native wildlife.
We have selected the highest level of accommodation for all locations on this trip to ensure comfort, good food, and excellent service throughout.
India is unlike anywhere else you have visited and nothing you have done before will likely be comparable. If you have ever thought about seeing wild Tigers or a visit to India, this trip was designed based on our own experiences to offer an amazing adventure.

How do we track Tigers and Leopards inside the National park?
Tigers are solitary animals and tracking them in the wild requires knowledge, experience , patience and good old fashioned luck.
The national parks are big, spread over hundreds of square kilometers but our expert guides (who grew up near the parks and they have spent good part of their lives inside their respective tiger reserves) know exactly where to go and what to look for.
We know these big cats and also know their territory, family history and behavior very well.
We also keep an eye on where a kill has been made by the tiger, the chances are Tiger will return to the kill. After meal, the big cats head for waterholes , we know these spots very well.
In the summer months, the cat cools itself in the water, we keep regular an eye on these waterholes.
Fresh pugmarks and droppings are also tell-tale sign that the tiger is nearby.
Due to their high position on trees, Langurs can spot Tigers from a long distance, and sound alarm calls. Deer alarm calls are also very useful in spotting these beautiful cats. (Leopard alarm calls and Tiger alarm calls are different)
